    ExternalLink

    Use the ExternalLink component to link to external resources (i.e., outside the current environment). To link to any internal resources, use the Link component instead.

    Behavior​

    The ExternalLink always opens up a new tab.

    External resources​

    The ExternalLink is used to link to external resources. External resources in the context of the Dynatrace platform are any resources that live outside the users' current environment. This includes the following examples:

    • Linking to any other environment (e.g., from ENV-ID.dynatrace.com to ENV-ID-2.dynatrace.com).
    • Linking to any Dynatrace resource (e.g., from ENV-ID.dynatrace.com to docs.dynatrace.com).
    • Linking to any external domains (e.g., from ENV-ID.dynatrace.com to anothercompany.com).
